Amphibole Silicate Structure

The structure of hornblende silicate

Heaven and earth start, the universe begins to be laid, yin and yang are judged, and all things change into life. In the mountains and rivers of the earth, there are hornblende silicate deposits.

Hornblende silicate has a delicate and complex structure, just like the meticulous painting of heaven and earth. Silica-oxygen tetrahedra is the foundation of its structure. Each tetrahedron is centered on silicon, and oxygen is in the four corners, just like the stars and the moon, in order. The silicon-oxygen tetrahedra is connected in two or two, or extends in a chain shape, and the chains are maintained by cations. The cations, the genera of iron, magnesium, calcium, sodium, and potassium, are listed in the middle according to their own characteristics, so that the structure is stable and orderly.

Its double-stranded structure is particularly characteristic. The double-stranded strands are parallel, like double dragons winding, showing a unique rhythm in the microscopic world. Between the double-stranded, cations are interspersed and arranged, just like bridges and ties, which closely connect the double-stranded strands. And the direction and distortion of the double-stranded strands are fixed, and can be easily simulated by non-human forces. The formation of this structure has been honed over time and has been tempered by geological processes. Under high temperature and pressure, atoms and ions interact, or polymerize, or separate, resulting in this delicate structure.

Looking at the structure of amphibole silicate, sigh at the wonder of creation in heaven and earth. Although it is silent, it has used hundreds of millions of years to create a wonder of the microscopic world for future generations to explore and understand the mysteries of nature.
